We just returned from our annual summer vacation at the Russian River. Above is a photo of Goat Rock, about 20 minutes away, at the beach. And here’s a picture of me with my son Dylan, up on a cliff above the beach. And another photo. This is my daughter Allessandra, my husband James, and my son Dylan. There’s nothing I like more than posting pictures of my Friesian horse, Maximus. I bought him in August 2004 and we’ve been together ever since. He was born in 2000 and lived in the Netherlands until he flew to Sonoma, California, to Black Sterling Friesians Farm where I found him. Weighing 1,425 pounds, he’s not a draft horse but people always think he’s a Clydesdale. However Clydesdales weigh between 1,700 to 2,000 pounds. One of these days I’ll have someone take a picture of me riding him. Share this:

And summer means more riding, right? That’s where the big guy above fits in. Most people know I’m in love with my Friesian horse, Maximus. But I just had to post another (yes, another) photo of him. And, of course I have a tattoo of him on my forearm. When I’m around him, all I can do is smile. He’s so cute and so sweet. I’m lucky to have him in my life. HAPPY SUMMER EVERYONE !!! Share this:

You don’t have to be an NBA basketball fan to have heard about the Golden State Warriors. In the last several years they’ve become the “comeback kids”. When it looks as if they might lose a game by a few points, out steps Steph Curry and Klay Thompson (the Smash Brothers) and the Warriors win the game. On Memorial Day the Warriors won the Western Conference Finals. Tonight marks the first game (out of a possible seven games that could be played) that they’ll face the Eastern Conference Finalists – the Cleveland Cavaliers – featuring LeBron James. I became a basketball fan in 2013 when my son began his high school basketball career. I didn’t know anything about basketball. I just knew it was faster than baseball and less deadly than football. That’s Dylan in the picture with the number 12 on his shirt – in the air, no less.
On June 17th my little girl will graduate from high school. So cliche, but where the heck did the time go? It seems like about ten years ago that we brought her home from the hospital. How is it that she’s all of a sudden almost 18 years old and leaving her childhood behind? A new and exciting life awaits her and she knows it. She can take time off. Or she can work to earn money. Or she can save to buy a car. Or she can enter barbering school. Or she can travel. Or she can move out and live on her own. I have to admit, I am not ready for any of these. The routine of making her breakfast, fixing her lunch, driving her to school, greeting her when she comes home from school – all of that is about to change. And I am
