Lovely Blogger Award

Today I received the Lovely Blogger Award from Sheri de Grom and I am so honored. The purpose of the “Lovely Blogger Award” is for those individuals in the blog world to get to know me better.  And I am given the opportunity to nominate fifteen bloggers for the award so you can get to know them as well. The  hardest part, though, is the rules specify I tell you seven random things about myself. So, here goes:

1. I love Scotchmallows from See’s Candies. There’s something about caramel mixed with marshmallow and dark chocolate. Oh, yummmmmm…

2. I’m in love with another male besides my husband.  His name is Maximus. He weighs 1,425 pounds and is a big, black Friesian horse from Holland.

3. I’ve watched The Bridges of Madison County so many times, I’ve lost count. I don’t care how syrupy others think this movie is, I love Meryl Streep and the part she plays in this movie is fabulous.

4. I’m in love with another male besides my husband and my horse. His name is Jack and he’s only five years old. He has a golf ball-sized lump under his chin because at 4 months old he was diagnosed with cranial mandibular osteopathy. And he’s my baby. Granted he’s also a chocolate labrador retriever, but I helped save his life after he was born, hand-fed him for weeks, and he loves to nibble my ears and neck.  What a guy!

5. I didn’t make an announcement to the world or anything (!) but I just signed a contract with Dawn Dowdle at Blue Ridge Literary Agency for my fourth book Brenda’s Wish. I hope to someday have it published. That would be so cool.

6. I have sun chimes that sit across from where I write each day. When they tinkle I think it’s my mom’s way of saying “hi” to me from wherever she is.  She died in 2008 and I hope she’s watching over me. Miss you Mom.

7. And, finally, I have to live near the coast or else I get geographical claustrophobia. If I’m too far from the ocean I feel boxed in which is why when I lived in Corvallis, Oregon, for two years I was miserable.

So, there  ya’ go.

And now, it is my privilege to be able to give you the names of 15 bloggers whose posts I read on a regular basis and who I think are worth following. They are (in random order) with just a snippet of information to tease your interest:

Thank you.
