Welcome to the Marketing For Romance Writers Blog Hop.
This Hop runs from February 10, 2013, to February 13, 2013.
You’ve arrived here because I write Mainstream Romance.
Click on the “Books” tab at the top of the page to read an excerpt from Moon Over Alcatraz, published in January 2012.
This Hop is all about firsts and since this is my first published book, I’d like to tell you a little about the firsts in Moon Over Alcatraz.
Moon Over Alcatraz has an HEA, “happily ever after”, so although it begins with a sad story, it has lots of happy times within and ends on a happy note.
Brandy and Weston Chambers lose their baby at birth. Their shared tragedy could have brought them together during their time of grief. Instead it pulls them apart. They were going to have their first child but in this case their first child becomes the stepping stone to their first major marital trauma.
Brandy tries to work through her feelings of guilt over losing her baby but she does it alone, not sharing her feelings with Weston. When his job takes him away for several months, their relationship deteriorates even further.
Out of the ashes of her past steps an old high school friend Edward and Brandy’s life takes a dramatic turn. After she discovers she’s carrying a child the lives of Brandy, Weston, and Edward veer in directions that are firsts for all three of them.
